Ingela Mauritzon

Regulatory scientist researching AI governance in regulated systems

Ingela Mauritzon is a regulatory scientist and PhD researcher working on artificial intelligence governance in regulated systems. Her research examines how regulatory institutions embed and manage paradoxical tensions between innovation and protection, with an empirical focus on the European medical device system. She is a PhD candidate in Innovation Sciences at Halmstad University, defending in 2027.Ingela is the founder of Fabola, a specialist regulatory practice serving MedTech and IVD companies. She has spent more than a decade working across Europe and China and sits on the board of the Sweden-China Trade Council. Forthcoming publications appear in the Journal of Medical Internet Research and the European Journal of Innovation Management.
